I am an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Georgia. My research interests are in Labor Economics, Urban Economics, Econometrics and Causal Inference.

- Seeking Nuance: I recently began a new project that I am very excited about. I now host Seeking Nuance, a long-form podcast where we explore multidisciplinary ideas and try to develop a more precise understanding of the world. The aim is to conduct these conversations with intellectual honesty, including honesty about how confidently we should hold our own views. The project grew out of my concern that difficult, nuanced conversations are rarely made public. Much of the uncertainty, disagreement, and open-ended reasoning behind serious ideas disappears before those ideas reach a wider audience, leaving public discourse more simplified and certain than the questions themselves warrant.
